Checking the crew list…

Workforce pulse
NL’s construction market swings from “74% idle” to “1,600 short” inside a few years. This is a live, anonymized read on both sides, by trade and region.
Demand
Every posting has a start date and a crew size, so positions are real headcount, not one ad for “multiple openings”.
By region
Open jobs, with positions in grey.
By trade
Top 12 trades by open postings.
Supply
Counts of worker profiles by primary trade and home region. Individual profiles are never shown here, only totals.
By trade
Top 12 trades by registered workers.
By home region
Where registered workers live, not where they'll travel.
Availability funnel
Pick a trade. The funnel shows how many registered workers are actually looking, experienced, mobile, equipped and available today.
The funnel
Registered → looking → experienced → travels → has transport → available now.
Percentages are of registered workers in the selected trade. Stages aren’t strictly nested — a worker can be “available now” without being “experienced”.
Methodology and privacy
Live aggregates
Every number on this page is an aggregate query over the live database, counts grouped by trade and region. No sampling, no estimates, no third-party data.
Every profile counts, no profile shows
Worker figures include every registered profile regardless of visibility, because a count reveals nothing about a person. Small cells stay counts, never names or places finer than a region.
Open means open
Job figures count postings with status “open”. Postings expire automatically and employers must confirm they’re still hiring, so stale ads don’t inflate demand.
Same definitions as the matcher
“Experienced” means 3+ years. “Looking” means looking now, available soon, or an apprentice needing hours. Definitions match the matching formula.
Partners get the same cut
Unions, colleges and employment offices can get region-level exports of these aggregates. Learn more.
