A $7.68M replacement water treatment plant for Lumsden, funded for 2026 to 2028.
What’s being built
Lumsden is replacing its water treatment plant with $7.68 million in federal and provincial funding, with the work running between 2026 and 2028. A plant replacement is process work rather than plain civil: concrete structures, process mechanical, pumps and piping, plus the electrical and instrumentation that runs it. For a small community on the Straight Shore it is a significant multi-season job.
