A 735 kV line from Churchill Falls to Labrador City with a new terminal station — engineering through 2026.
What’s being built
A 735-kilovolt transmission line running from Churchill Falls to Labrador City, together with the new Flora Lake terminal station, backed by a federal commitment of about $1 billion. Front-end engineering is targeted to finish in December 2026 and no construction date has been set yet. It matters beyond its own crew count: it is the line that would unlock further mining development in the Labrador Trough, including Kami.
Workforce
Engineering completes December 2026. Construction start not yet set.
