What’s being built
A recreation facility of roughly 100,000 square feet, funded fifty-fifty by the town and the province and announced at $16 million in January 2025. The town revamped the design in April 2026, which put the opening date back in question, so treat the timeline as unsettled. When it goes ahead it is a straightforward steel-and-slab build: site servicing, structural steel, concrete, electrical, ventilation and sports surfaces.
