A 150-bed long-term care home at Stephenville Crossing — the site was expropriated in 2025, construction is still to be scheduled.
What’s being built
A 150-bed long-term care home is planned for Stephenville Crossing, and the province expropriated the site in September 2025. Pre-construction work has been funded through 2025 to 2027 but no construction value or start date has been published yet. At 150 beds this would be one of the larger institutional builds on the west coast when it goes to tender, carrying site work, concrete, framing, mechanical and finishing trades for two to three years.
Workforce
Site secured; construction value and start date not yet published.
